Requests for Proposals
Faculty Research Grant proposals are due by 5pm on May 1st of each year. Proposals must address the STC’s theme, sustainable transportation, defined here as an approach to transportation that meets the needs of all segments of society while minimizing environmental, societal, and economic costs. The scope of the STC, as defined in the Center’s Strategic Plan, encompasses three functional areas (regional transportation planning, environmental planning and review, and energy policy) and three cross-cutting research approaches (behavioral research, systems analysis, and policy and planning tools). The Center expects to fund up to 5 proposals of around $60,000 each for 2008-2009, depending on actual funding appropriations from sponsors.
